The Last 72 Hours

It has been quite a busy three days here in the BlueRibbonFamily's home. *sigh* Sunday was the most relaxed day, really.

Saturday we got our pumpkins for Halloween carving (and my favorite.....pumpkin seeds......mmmmmmm). We will do that this coming weekend probably, so look out for some pics!

Sunday we had church. When we got home we had lunch and then took a plunge into the hot tub. Missy finally has come out of her shell with it, and was walking around in it just laughing so much. She was so happy to be in there. We then came in and while Missy went down for her nap we turned on The Jungle Book to watch as a family. We then got a phone call from my brother and sil and they wanted to stop by for a bit. When they were ready to leave, Missy went to the bottom of the stairs and grabbed her uncle's shoes for him. She has this thing of grabbing the shoes, and placing them on the ground in front of you to be a helper......it is so darn cute. We then told her to give her cousin a hug, and at first her cousin was not at all wanting to do this, until her dad told her to go ahead and give her one. They then just kept hugging each other, and it was totally cute.Today we took the kids to a corn maze for Family Home Evening. We really had a fun time and Uncle Martikeetus and Auntie Caca came with us too. We found all of the posts (there were 10) and got a punch at each one and a prize at the end. We were having a hard time walking about half way through because it was REALLY muddy, and so our shoes were sticking to the ground and it felt like we were carrying 10 extra lbs on our feet. At one point, Sister Sue looked at me and said, "Mom, it is getting dark. And I know it is past my bedtime. So I think we need to go home now!" How often do you hear that out of a young girls mouth! LOLAlso, just as a little update for you all. Since the last post about Missy and her potty-ing, she has done it once a day since! I am so excited for her, and she is truly understanding it, I think.
