Our Last Day

These "last days" seem to come quickly with our Foreign Exchange Students. And they keep getting harder and harder on me. Saturday was Maer's turn to go home. The night before we played games and had a little pizza party (with Eric's famous dough tossing). The next morning I found myself crying off and on, and I think I was relatively good at hiding it. I just hate the never knowing if I will see my host children again, and it really is the hardest thing of hosting students.
As we were leaving the home to take Maer to the airport, we got in some last minute family photos with him and our other host son, Tomoji. We will miss Maer so much, as we do all of them who have visited our home.

After we dropped Maer off at the airport, we went to meet my parents and my niece and nephew at Hires for a burger, onion rings, and rootbeer. This was Tomoji's first time in a "Hamburger Joint" and so he was excited and asked me to take a picture of him. LOL He also loved the mug that the rootbeer came in!
